What are cellulose-based yarns & cut fibres?
The natural cellulose-based fiber is used as a reinforcing material in high-performance tires and technical rubber products, among other applications. However, BÜFA Thermoplastic Composites sees the potential not only in the automotive sector: Cellulose regenerated fibres are also interesting for use as a raw material for components made of thermoplastics, as the particularly high-quality fibres increase the impact strength. This is why BÜFA is responsible for sales in the thermoplastic sector.
Since 1938, Cordenka has been producing a continuous multifilament cellulose fibre. Today, Cordenka produces over 50% of the world’s demand for cellulose industrial yarns. With an annual spinning capacity of 32,000 tonnes and a controlled process, Cordenka ensures yarn availability for large-scale production as well as consistent quality at a high level.
Due to its cellulose origin, Cordenka Rayon has properties that enable long-lasting shape retention and performance.
Rayon is offered in various types. They are available as yarns, cut fibres as well as fabrics in various customer specifications.
Yarns of other linear densities are available on request.
Furthermore all yarns are also available as chopped fibres with lengths between 2 mm and 125 mm.
Raw fabrics are manufactured according to customer specifications and cover various cord constructions, end counts as well as widths. The continuous multifilament cellulose woven fibre is low odour compared to similar products.</div>Raw fabrics are manufactured according to customer specifications and cover various cord constructions, end counts as well as widths.
